Purchases from London & Barcelona
I've been 2 weeks in London for a film course and 9 days in Barcelona on holiday. The two cities are obviously fashion cities, so I had (my hands were tied) to do some shopping. Here are some of my purchases!
I bought these cool stars and stripes shorts from Topman in London for only £30.
Got this awesome tee from Zara for 17 euros in Barcelona - also available in orange.
One of my favorite t-shirts ever - a white t-shirt with black safety pins! You can buy this in Zara for £19, also from London.
I bought this grey Ralph Lauren hoodie in La Roca Village - an outlet in Barcelona - for 75 euros.

Bieber at MuchMusic Awards 2012
I really liked the idea of Justin Bieber's vest at the 2012 MuchMusic Awards in Canada. I just think the color was awful, but I am making my own studded denim vest - just in blue! I'll update when I get the spikes! :)

Studs on shirt
I bought a military shirt from Urban Outfitters for about 50 bucks. The thing is, it had a ugly hook-and-loop fastener on it. I removed the Velcro part and added some studs! You can buy the studs on Ebay and Amazon or on studsandspikes.com.
Just remember to put them on correctly or else they will fall off.
I'm gonna buy some spikes and put them on a denim vest! I'll post pictures of the vest soon!

Tuxedo alternatives
Invited to a party that isn't that formal, you may wear alternatives to tuxedos. Here are some tips.
- Leather jacket, white dinner shirt, bow tie (colorful bow ties are great too), black skinny jeans and black leather shoes (perhaps more formal shoes, suede is fine too)

- Pink blazer, white shirt, bow tie or regular tie, black skinny jeans (could also work with chinos if it isn't formal) and formal shoes.

You got designer shades...

It's summer. It's hot. And the sun is blinding us! No need to worry, I've got you covered on how to look stylish when you're out in the sun.

#1: Aviator sunglasses from a-morir. Remember my post about a-morir? If you don't, then check it out. Now. These sunglasses are called Halford II, named after the famous heavy metal singer Rob Halford. Although they are covered in Swarovski crystals, they are completely functional. $400 at a-morir.com.

#2: PlastiChic is a Canadian company known for their colorful watches and sunglasses. Especially their Woody sunglasses have caught my attention. Made of real bamboo and available in 10 different colors, these glasses are definitely not the usual eyewear. Its dreamy pastel colors are ideal for the summer season. For only $105, not sure if Canadian dollars, you can buy them at plastichic.ca. My favorites are the yellow and green glasses.
#3: Carrera is one of the most famous brands of sunglasses out there. Affordable and worn by celebrities, these glasses are fresh and timeless. These particular glasses are called Carrera 6000 in soft black/crystal black. No price is stated.
#4: Aviator sunglasses - also from Carrera. More average but still very cool.

Leather jackets
Hey... It's been a while...
I've recently bought aleather jacket. Okay, it's not made of real leather - it's synthetic but as long as it's awesome and you can't tell unless you touch it, I'm fine with it.

Tees with stripes
Hey!
Just bought a new t-shirt from H&M. It's not really white, it's ivory with really dark blue stripes but the stripes don't cover the entire t-shirt.
Striped t-shirts are hot and you know it! You can find them in different varieties such as this one with graduated stripes from ASOS on sale for only $22.38 here. Cool, huh? I really dig the red stripes.

Marni for H&M
You know that I love it when fashion designers work with H&M, making their designer clothes affordable and maintaining the good quality.
Little do we know about the Marni-collection. H&M has released an ad plus some behind-the-scenes during photoshoots and I'm not thrilled.
I'm not really a big fan of Marni, which is known for their patterns and prints. Most of their clothes are old-fashioned, dull and ugly. I'm not saying that you won't find a piece of decent clothes and it's (probably) not fair for me to judge the collection when I haven't seen the whole thing.

Colored pockets
I've noticed a recent trend. Colored pockets! Yes, they are everywhere! On polo shirts, t-shirts - you name it!
Some brands have done a great job while others... Well, they've exaggerated. You want to look for simple shirts and matching colors.

They are in, they are worn by celebrities and yes, they are affordable!
I'm talking about baseball jackets! You can find them in different colors - my favorites are green, red, blue and grey. But not in those awful vibrant colors. Don't get me wrong! Vibrant colors are great for anything else. Just not baseball jackets.
I bought one a few months ago from H&M for $70 I think... Unfortunately, I couldn't find a picture of it but it's dark blue with white sleeves.

New underwear ... HELL YEAH!
I've bought a lot of underwear... Okay! Three pieces! Is that a lot? Nah..
Two of them are from Diesel and they are ... guess what? COLORFUL! YES! COLOR! VIBRANT COLORS!
One is in orange while the other is pink. I'm not recommending these for EVERY outfit - but they're great for dull outfits.

Hoodies - in or out?
Hoodies... Oh boy. Either you succeed or fail - and when you fail, you fail bad. Really bad. But hoodies are great for the casual outfit!
If you're looking for a hoodie, then follow these simple rules:
- Never buy a hoodie in a fugly (fucking ugly) color. That means no shitty brown, no pukish green, and no menstruating red. Sorry for the figurative language.
- Never buy a hoodie with writing or print on it - even though the writing is really, really catchy!
- Never buy a hoodie that is too big or too small.
Try a more simple hoodie. I recommend Ralph Lauren's customized hoodie. Choose your own color AND flag! And please notice what the model is wearing with the hoodie.. Well, other than that hideous scarf! He's wearing a blue shirt. Yes, you can wear a blue shirt underneath too!

Who wears short short? We wear short shorts!
I really like shorts for the summer - especially the colorful ones! Dare to try different colors such as yellow, pink - yes, pink!! - green and blue. Just remember that they shouldn't be too short or too long... So the title of this post might be a bit misleading. ;)
The ideal length of a pair of short is just a bit over the knee. AND FOR GOD SAKE, DO NOT BUY BAGGY SHORTS OR SHORTS WITH LARGE POCKETS! THEY MAKE ME PUKE!
Khaki shorts are nice too. Wear them with a belt, perhaps a polo shirt, and some nice shoes. But really, you can ALMOST wear anything with shorts. Okay, I take that back! Do not wear shirts with long sleeves if you won't roll them up. Trust me, you don't want to look like a dork, do ya? I don't think so.
AND PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! DON'T! JUST DON'T WEAR LONG SOCKS WITH ANY TYPE OF SHORTS! YOU MAKE ME PROJECTILE VOMIT! USE ANKLE SOCKS!
Some people like to wear flip-flops with shorts but if you aren't a 20-year-old Brazilian surfer then don't! I usually wear my navy blue canvas shoes from Fred Perry - depending on the color of the shorts. Get some nice toned-down shoes - preferably without laces or get same-colored laces.
OH RIGHT! PLEASE NO SHORTS WITH PATTERNS! JUST PLAIN SHORTS! You: "What about Hawaiian shorts?" Me: "Especially Hawaiian shorts!!!"
Almost every brand sells shorts but I recommend Tommy Hilfiger, Gant, and H&M.
Btw, I have no idea who these people are but they sure know how to wear shorts!

I recently bought this fucking amazing tee from H&M for just $20! I've written about Kanye West before and now I bought a t-shirt with his face on it... IN PURPLE!
It's really cool, even though I don't like the back. It should have been plain but who cares? I'm gonna wear it with a cardigan anyway!

If you want to make a statement, then you should definitely check out a-morir!
These (called Johnny) are covered in snakeskin printed leather, which makes them completely non-functional, but if you got the money then hey! What are you waiting for? This is a super über cool accessory!
These are called Halford II and are covered in silver studs. They ARE see through but I most definitely wouldn't use them while driving! ;D

Driving gloves were made to keep the hands clean when driving but they are also really trendy - especially the fingerless!
You might think that fingerless driving gloves only are for women but that's not true! If worn with the right clothes, the gloves can really be a great accessory for men too.
If you aren't completely convinced, you can also find fingerless gloves made out of cotton. Kinda hobo chic. Perhaps wear a leather jacket with them and some skinny black jeans!
I have a pair in cotton but I'm looking for some in leather!
